The Beleza drummers have begun preparations for Fremantle Festival and other big events coming up this summer. The group is big
this year and sounding really great with the new teaching method employing several musical directors.

MIKELEZA AND YAMILEZA are finally back from BRAZIL after an amazing and intensive musical trip through the Land of Samba and Afro-Brazilian roots!

Next event by Beleza Samba School is at "Save the Kimberley Fundraiser" at Mojos on Sunday the 8th of January from 6pm till 10pm ($10 entry).

Beleza will do a special feature around 10pm as a support act for THE CRUX FUNK BAND,
but come down early (start at 8.30pm) to feel the groove and get funky on the dance floor!

Festa Do Ritmo is over now and we are all overwhelmed by the fantastic performances and music on the night. A big thank you to all the musicians, dancers, special guests and DJ in making this event a success! And of course, we would like to thank our wonderful audience without which the night wouldn't have been possible... BELEZA!!!

Happy New Year!
This saturday will be the first workshop run by Beleza for the year 2010.
We are excited about the year to come!
Also this thursday at our regular gig at the DEEN there will be some special guests from the touring show "Warriors of Brazil". It should be a great night so if you are in the area you should come down and check it out!!

2009 is coming to an end and now is a time to reflect on the year and make plans for the next. Beleza members are meeting for their annual "end of year" party this weekend. We have a lot to be proud of and will celebrate what has been an awesome year of gigs and progress.
Fremantle Festival 2009 saw Beleza as the biggest it has ever been with 14 Dancers, 23 Drummers and 1 stilt dancer. We are now making plans about how to maintain these numbers and keep Beleza growing in 2010.
Beleza has been doing many smaller shows around Perth in the last few months. We have appeared at many corporate shows, festivals and parties by ourselves and accompanied by dancers and capoeiristas. Kuerazo Latin Dancers have been a great help in promoting us around the place, thanks to their manager Li-anne Carroll.
