Beleza Samba School
Beleza is a Portuguese word that translates roughly into something like beautiful or great! 
Samba can be rough and tough like hip hop, loose and kooky like funk, soulful and beautiful like reggae! Its tribal, its chaotic, its romantic, ITS ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE!
We aim to teach students in our drum and dance classes a greater understanding of Brazilian rhythm and culture. Teaching is co-ordinated by professional performers/teachers, Michael Boase and Yamina Hofer.
We offer a wide range of different styles of performances, from large groups of dancers and drummers to small or even solo performances. Our performers can also vary from professional full- time performers to a non-professional community style. Depending on a clients need, Beleza can provide the right kind of show!
OUR VISION Beleza is dedicated to creating a samba school that has a high standard of music and dance that looks and sounds rich with Brazilian culture. We like to show our appreciation and respect for where samba originates (In Brazil and Africa) by learning the traditions that surround it.We would like to create a network between Perth and Brazil so that we can bring master mus icians and dancers here to teach us and other local samba schools. Beleza aims at expanding the size of the organisation and having many more elements in future such as floats, flag carriers etc.

..... but Beleza is not just all about samba.... We are also committed to developing the local understanding of African arts in general and we have our own World Fusion Bellydance School!
