SOREYA WORLD FUSION BELLYDANCE SCHOOL

What is world fusion? Using the vocabulary of bellydance (a harmonious blend of undulations and sharp movements), "world fusion bellydance" is enhanced by other dance styles such as flamenco, Indian classical dance, samba, Tahitian dance etc. as well as ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. In a world open to multiculturalism, where musicians find their inspiration all over the continents, the music is becoming more and more ecclectic, and fusing different genres together. So does the evolution of Dance, and especially bellydance!

Soreya has trained in numerous world dances and naturally started to fuse when she just started to bellydance. World Fusion Bellydance enables the dancer to extend its limits and express freely what the body feels to the music.

CLASSES

NEW! Monday 6pm : Bellytechnique and introduction to Bellyfusion

This class will be focused on bellydance fundamentals as well as learning how to fuse those techniques with other world dances. The class will also encourage improvisation and finding your own dancer within, rather than learning choreographies.

Mambo Bellyfusion : Learn a fun choreography mixing some Latin moves with bellydancing. 6-month experience in bellydance is a pre-requisite. The piece is joyful and requires a bit of acting, face expressions and attitude as well as learning the steps! 

Tuesday 5.30, at Beleza Samba School

Bellysamba : Energetic and fun! Mix the mesmerizing bellydance undulations and body isolations to the sassy exuberance of Brasilian Samba! Perfect for drum solo routines. Learn about the Brazilian culture and its various dance styles such as axé, miudinho and samba no pé.

Thursday 5.30, at Beleza Samba School

NEW! : Thursdays 7.30pm Bellydance with props : this class is for bellydancers willing to learn how to dance with an accessory such as veil, cane, sword, zills, fans, wings, ribbons, pois etc.

Please bring your own prop (if you don't have any, I have a few available to borrow) and get ready to experience a whole heap of new possibilities in your expression through dance! Bellydance props can be used for story-telling and add a dramatic touch to your dance.

BELLYFUSION

Created in november 2007 by Soreya, Bellyfusion is a group composed of enthusiastic students who enjoy to perform and share their passion of world fusion bellydance! Bellyfusion has already been performing at various events such as Harmony Day (Fremantle Arts Centre), Funkussion (Rosemount Hotel), Safari Nights @ Double Lucky (Leederville), Spirit Sisters Haflas (South Fremantle), Mojo's (North Fremantle) etc.

As well as doing the choreographies, Soreya takes great delight in making the group's costumes, accessories and even make-up!
